Hi Guys,

I am looking for a laptop solution where price is not a problem. What i need is the following:

As small as possible (10-11) would be perfect
Must look good (aluminium finish preffered)
Must have a core2duo, cannot be an Atom processor - Pref 2 ghz+
Must take 2 to 4 gigs ram
Must weigh as little as possible
SSD

Any ideas what laptops i should look at ? I know the price range will prob be 20-25k, but that is fine.

My option on the 13" would prob be a macbook air.

laptopdirect has a Dell Vostro that is small and has a P8600 going for just over R7000. Add a SSD and bump up the RAM, and you're still way under budget.

If price is not an option, you should get a Panasonic Let's Note. They are tough, they are light and they come with SSD and Core i3 or i5. Alternatively NEC also make great light machines.

They're not Al though but Mg Alloy which is lighter and stronger than Al.

See www.conics.net (there are other resellers). www.panasonic.net

eg. this one:
