Small office network setup for internet sharing problem

As my wifes 3G stick went west i thought i would quickly resolve the problem by networking her on to my PC which is running a Cell C 3G stick. Both PC's are running XP So i connected the 2 PC's to gether via a 4 port router, both PC's grabbed an IP and i ran the small office setup wizard on my PC to connect directly to the net and the same wizard on the other PC to connect to the net via my PC. You cannot see any network connection that shows that it can see the Cell C through my PC. The PC's can see each other because i set up a workgroup and it displays the 2 PC's on both computers.
Have i forgotten to do something here ? i set up the same thing a while back using a Neotel and it worked fine but it was not on these same PC's but was on XP.

Any ideas ?

you need to set up Internet connection sharing on your pc. Not Ideal, but it works. I forget how to do it on XP tho.

The best sollution would be to buy a 3g router to share the connection thru. This one is the best bang for your buck: http://www.dbg.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=32_85&products_id=423
