Got my SONY Vaio T27....and sold the Flybook - this forum is persuasive..Ok, my first impressions: Its much faster and the screen is better - only no touch screen..
Battery life is atleast 4 times better than flybook...and who needs built in GPRS when u have a HSDPA card?

V3g, what did u get yourself?

PS: and the built in DVD writer much better than plugging in an external drive

Sony Vaio!

Nearly got the FS 1720, but the Sony's better battery life swung me.

ya those sony vaio's are nice, but pricey.

Played with the new FS Q Series, less than a kilo with built-in HSDPA. Unbelievable system, but retails (I believe) for R40K!

Pity I came across this thread so late...

I would have tried to twist your arm into buying the Sony VAIO S series (SZ28GP/C).

Slightly bigger than the T series, wieghts 2kg, but is a real beauty:
Centrino Dual Core 2.0Ghz
nVidia GeForce Go700
1 GB RAM
100 GB hard drive
DVD multi burner
PCMCIA
Finger print recognition
13.3 inche screen
2.4Ghz wireless LAN and bluetooth

This machine performs as well as it looks and is truly portable.

My wife and I both had the previous model. I donated mine out of my car to upliftment of the underprivileged and homeless of Cape Town. Pity it wasn't insured - cannot afford a new one, so settled on a Siemens - not the same...

Tooo late...
anyway i dont think i can carry that size around..the T series is already big compared to the Flybook i was using...but the features are great...the S series processor is the only really big diff from the T.

Did u list your T series on www.crimestop.co.za ? pls do, so u may just have a chance to get it back ( taqdeer (destiny) so dont be sad)
