This is the Smart analysis on my Linux Mint microserver. It's the standard 250gb drive that came with it.

Should I be worried with the ECC and read errors?

Nothing to worry about. Your old drive might not report these valuses honesty. RAW Read Errors value is temporary for internal use, will reset to zero after updating statistics and start increasing again. Look at normalized value of read errors. Very good - tripping value is very low. Just compare with Seek Error Rate, it dropped 40%, still good margin above tripping value. RAW value is important in parameters 197 and 198. If you see any, you have a problem.

If you still worry about, run scan for delays using MHDD or Victoria for DOS/Windows (from Hiren's Boot CD) and post results.

I've done quiet a bit of reading since. Seagate drives report the read errors and hardware corrected errors which other manufacturers don't.

The two numbers should more or less match from what I gather.
