The home affairs department issued a smart ID card for former president Nelson Mandela as the ailing statesman celebrated his 95th birthday on Thursday.

Yep. In my books - until proven otherwise (and I am happy to be corrected) - he died on 26 June.

I have seen that one a few times here on mybb ... but was really hoping that is just a dummy and they were working on the design still . It is the ugliest frekking thing I have ever seen. Oh well.

Why cant it look like the American drivers licence cards or something similar? That card in the pic looks like a cheap ID pass they print for you on the spot when you visit a big company. Oh well. I just thought they could have put some more effort into making it a nice looking card as well as being functional.
