Send us a mail [email protected] re the button + shelly 1 combo.
We can ship nationwide

Already did and paid for it this morning ;)

To get good at 1,2 and 3 you need to become proficient at your Mcguyver skills and have quality finishing and detailing for all your tinkering. Can be done.

Or buy the right things for the right jobs.

Not gonna use a Sonoff next to my bed, also not gonna use a Shelly button to drive my Inverter :D

Edit: Forgot to mention that is why I love Hass IO, cause I don't have to remember using App x for switch Y and App U for Light D all in one place and all local with remote access. Last point is key in SA.

The reason people like me use theses things is not so much using an app as it is about automation. its right there in the name Smart lamp.

I want light to turn on when alarm goes off in the morning, also to turn on at 9pm at night close to bed time but I also want to have manual control so I don't have to announce to the house that I wanna pee at 1 am, nor fumble for a phone in the dark.

So need both manual and auto control ie: switching plug with easy access at night ;)

TLDR: Manual switch override state for automation to happen.

Ah, NOW I get it, thank you :)

Because thats only half the use of the switch. You also want one that works manually, like the old-school switch that sits on the cable between plug and lamp.

There are the following requirements:
1. Switch on/off via wifi
2. Switch on/off via classic switch that sits in the cable
3. Must look good, as in neat and clean and shouldn't look like a mcguyer jobbie - thanks @AlmightyBender

Having a wifi wall plug switch means you don't get #2
Having a wifi bulb means you dont get #2
Having a sonoff mcguyver means you dont have #3

I specifically want all my automation to works automatically, but also if there are other people over who don't know better, they can still flick switches manually and those switches will still be where any person will expect them to be. Something to be said for being cool but user-friendly at the same time.

Okay, that makes sense :)

Thanx Shelly, just got me buttons.

Got my Shelly 1s and buttons. Wow, but I did not expect the buttons to be this big. Wouldn't have an issue finding those while fumbling in the dark to switch the lamp on.

I now get what you where saying... They are larger than I envisioned. Will def work as a bed light switch and does look better than a Sonoff or the boxes I normally put em in.

Pics when you've attached them please.

They about the same size as the replacement(At least you cant miss the manual button in the dark), included to compare. SO already found a use for the old Sonoff's :(

This time round the install + setup was less painful, also the Selly's asked me to update firmware which the previous ones did not...
