Smart TVs will dominate

Currently what I can get on my Samsung is rather limited. It does have a plex application so I have access to internet content, but that isn't the biggest attraction to me. I rather like being able to stream my own content to my tv, but that can be done with a ps3 or xbox as well.

Currently the premium for smart tvs really doesn't justify the price just yet. I like pushing photos and videos to my tv from my phone, but even some non smart tvs can do that.

So what exactly are you paying extra for? To be able to skype and have an app store?

is a R4000 difference last time I went to Game and except for the people that want surround sound and wifi (the other stuff seems rather less than compelling) it seems like people would most likely opt for buying two of the cheaper ones than one of the "smart tv's".

Or am I missing something? Am I using mine wrong? I actually just went "smart" because of wifi and optical out for my surround sound.
