Only downside. I also checked coverage for my friends in Durban in smaller towns. No coverage too.

Good question. I don't think it would end anytime soon because they actually created a tariff plan for prepaid users to use it which means they need to discontinue the tariff plan to end this but the message when changing clearly states once you change your tariff plan to Smart Broadband you can not change back to Telkom More or Sim Sonke....
Lets see but I think it will stay for a while even if it's abused hectic it won't affect people because it's after hours. Businesses is closed during those times.

I went to the V&A Waterfront to the Telkom Kiosk, had to goto HI (next door) but did the necessary - remember, they will want to RICA you, got home, logged into my EX Telkom account details, did the top up as per this thread, and bam, sorted.
So Telkom launched the new Smart Broadband Prepaid Price Plan. Low priced LTE bundles on prepaid.

Crap I didn't notice that you cannot revert back to sim sonke. What are the voice charges on this plan? Also, have they discontinued the Internet starter pack bundles?
Just buy a normal one and cut it yourself
No need.
It comes in a one-sim-fits-all package.
Just punch out the size you want to use.

Yep true. It's here to stay. I see it being upheld for the next 12 months. If they end it, in a few months time will be another mouth watering sweet deal.

Unfortunately not. I don't have a link to link you but I tested it. Once you roam it redirects you to the out of bundle page.
I have no idea actually to be honest. Maybe you should phone and ask because I don't even see links for this on their website. The internet starterpacks bundles is only available on the Telkom more tariff plan.
Just buy voice minute bundles + a small FreeMe bundle to take care of cheap voice minutes.

Thats just how it works, all the big data packages are Telkom network only and can't roam on MTN. But one can always add All Network data bundles on any Telkom SIM and that will be able to utilize MTNs network when there is no Telkom coverage.
