There is uncertainty if the unlimited data until end March applies to all SmartPlan 100 contracts or only some.Asked the staff at 2 telkom stores and got 2 different answers.Does anybody know?

My understanding is that "unlimited data" (actually 10GB full speed after which it would be throttled to 128kbps) is for activations before 31 December on all new Smartplan 100 contracts. And is only "unlimited" until 31 March.

Just don't get caught with your pants down after March. This could be a tactic to get as much people on board then scrap away the out of bundle jail and release the shark.

My understanding is that there is no OOB on Telkom? You get routed to a OOB page and asked how you would like to proceed or something. Besides, the 1gig all network data that I will get with the R99.00 deal is enough for me.

They might decide at a later stage to scrap it! TELKOM Mobile is the only cellular network with an Out of Bundle page.

You can turn the OOB page on or off if you like, via the online control panel.

Telkom Mobile never did this before, why would they suddenly do it now?

I doubt because what was explained to me that Telkom set "spend" limits so you can't exceed those spend limits. This means its not a top up or openline contract and that you need to specify a spend limit if you don't the default is somewhere around R10 which can be adjusted or temporary increased by calling 180 from you Telkom sim.

Pretty cool and safe if you ask me. :)

What exactly are the voice and data OOB costs? Can you add a bundle onto this, so that you have Telkom Mobile, All Networks, and then a 2+1 if the other bundles expire before month end? The Telkom site has too many pdf links and I could not pick up the info I want.
