SmartVillage 20mbps. So... is it really?

There are several threads such as this one talking about Smart Village and their new 20mbps FTTH product.

I'm presently building in Midfield so I'm quite keen to know what I'm in for. The line rental quoted to me is about R1200 pm (line only, have to add data at around R10 to R20 per gig depending on the cap you choose...).

Curiously, not a single speedtest to be found. Is there anyone out there who can confirm whether their 20mbps offering is, well, really 20mbps?

This is why I never take anybody seriously, when they come out out of nowhere with no affiliations and promise 1st world FTTH services.

Based on those complaints I would avoid SmartVillage. They clearly do not know what they are doing.

Avoid them at all costs. I'm stuck with them until they open access to their network to other ISPs.
