I concur. Specially using it for running (to replace a *insert any fit device here*) and notification center. It's also poised to become a hub for the smart home and in future you probably will be able to control devices like Nest and Dropcam from it.

Personally I do not think they are cool yet but maybe in the future it will be a nice gadget to have.

For example: would you have a smart watch or a Patek Philippe? (One day when I'm big I want a Patek)

I think watch companies will never die due to good quality watches having that certain je ne sais quoi.
