Hey Mybb's

Anyone know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a person, that will give a good deal on smash and grab?

If you pay more than R2000 you are being scammed. Contact your car dealership as well as they get bulk discounts plus if the fitter damages any parts when removing them to fit the film the dealership fixes it for you.

Would you suggest doing it at a dealership?

If the price is right (sub R2000 for a Sedan/small SUV). They do not fit it there but take it to their vendor of choice. Otherwise shop around. Most car-audio/Aircon places do it. You can additionally phone your insurance provider for recommendations.

i had a polo done in June this year (Kyalami industrial park) - R800 for all four windows and the tailgate - will see if I can find the guys contact details

Meet Johnny Double Hammer at Ellie's pub in Boskburg. He'll recognize you.

Dealerships have to add on 'fat' for themselves - most of the guys in centurion/midrand use a company in centurion called Amazing Glaze - not sure what they charge

I've a question: You prang your car and someone needs to break a window to get you out because they can't get a door open. What now?

I think my next question is, Do you go for a cheaper option with a 3 year warranty or prcier option with 15 to lifetime warranty.

Exactly what is the warranty for? Can the film actually peel off?

It is smash and grab protection. The window without it will shatter into tiny shards leaving a gaping hole for a criminal to easily grab your KFC Twista. With the film the window still shatters but is held intact by the film. You can pull it away with relative ease. Some smash-and-grabbers shatter the window and punch-dive through it. I've seen this on New Road.
