2. Mweb servers
3. Server on uncapped IS account with static IP
4. Client(s) on 8ta (possibility of adding more in future)

How are you eliminating other apps etc downloading / updating etc?

Not much point otherwise imo.

System Monitor in Linux and task-whatsitsname in Windows. Check for processes and network activity (how I would do it).

My point is that Libs has a family living in his house who presumably use the internet occasionally. So for all we know the spikes could be baby Libs watching youtubes, rather than any real indication of ISP quality.

Oh ok. I was wondering about the basic question (from you)...:)

edit : no allowances/compensation for my own (home) traffic and site traffic was made.

The firewall used is Smoothwall, so CPU processes should not affect smokeping at all.

Between 12:30 and 13:45 router got a bit fed up, had to be rebooted.

8ta :

Afrihost :

Smokeping stats :

Must be my line which've induced that sharp spike (just before 0730) which's on all the graphs.

Had a firewall crash, which called for a rebuild.

Still have to recover my smokeping config file from the original HDD, but in the meantime, some graphs...
