Smoothwall unable to connect via PPPoE

Symptom : You can click the "Connect" button, but Smoothwall will not connect. Rebooting Smoothwall does not help either.

This happens usually after a power failure, or any other event in which Smoothwall wasn't properly shutted down.

How to Fix it :

1. Login via Putty, the console or via the web GUI as root.
2. Go to /var/run
3. Delete the pppd2.tdb file
4. Reconnect and enjoy.


Hope this helps a lot of people wondering why their Smoothies won't connect.
