I do some software work for Copenhagen Zoo.
To log into their network i use Juniper Network Connect. All of a sudden the SMS containing the passcode which allows me to log in, is not arriving. Other SMS from my bank etc are arriving.
Their Cell service provider tells them that the SMS's are being sent, but they definitely are not arriving in my phone.
The last time I successfully logged in was yesterday morning.
Anybody know why this could be?
Problem at Vodacom?
I have rebooted my phone to no avail.

Thanks. But, sorry to say, from previous interactions with VC I haven't had much success.
:wtf:

Unlikely it's Vodacom. The provider which sends the SMS might have made a change which has interrupted SMS to SA numbers. Log it with juniper, they should be able to see if the sms delivered successfully, just saying it was sent is not enough.

I've experienced this with SMSs to/from the UK before my mother discovered whatsapp...

The SA service providers have policies in place they claim are there to protect the client, but can be changed.

There is a difference between your mom sending messages and a company using an aggregator to send messages. I still think this issue is on the aggregator side.

I’ve had similar problem from Denmark specifically and it ultimately was on their end.

Unfortunately don’t know the exact details.

Ask them to use more secure platforms for delivering passwords than SMS. Telegram.

Thanks everybody! I have asked them to investigate from the Zoo side.
As expected VC have not even acknowledged my email after a full day!
Good one sajunky :D
I have even less faith in the Post Office than Vodacom! :erm:

Just check that the service sending the SMS from Denmark prefixes the number with +27 and drops the zero. It may be trying just 27 or 27 0 or +27 0.

Thanks again all.
I used my Telkom LTE number and the SMS came thru.
Looks like the problem is with Vodacom, who haven't bothered to reply to me yet!
Dairyfarmer thanks, it's was +27 and has been working fine up to last Thursday.
