Hey everyone

I was wondering what the limitations are on smtp.saix.net ?
What is the maximum message size the server will accept and what is the maximum bytes/h if at all any ?

Thanks

I would appreciate knowing this too, if it's per hour or what.

Our school sends out newsletters to parents every few weeks, and when it goes out, it causes Saix to drop our SMTP connection through our Exchange server. I'm not sure if it's a size issue or because some of the addresses are probably screwed. I need to then restart the SMTP service and freeze the one message to get the queue moving again.

Either way it would be good to know the limit.

Thanks :)

AFAIK these are the restrictions placed on mail:

- Limit the number of messages to less than 360 per hour. (This limit counts
all the recipient addresses as a message, thus a message with 10 recipients
will count as 10 messages).
- Limit the total message volume to 250 Mega Bytes per hour.
- When one of the above limits is exceeded, a block will be applied to the
offending source address for the remainder of the hour.
-Max recipients per email is 20

From what I know there are no restrictions on individual message size.

blonde moment*** will this be deducted from bandwidth in anyway?

Max message size is 10Mb.

It will count against your bandwidth

and then message limits are as per PuffTheMagicDragon stated pretty much.
