I had upgraded my line to 10megs in October 2011. Since then I've had quite good SNR and Attenuation levels.
Around SNR: 19db and Attenuation: 22db for both upstream and downstream.

The last week or so my line has been struggling to sync.

SNR Margin (Upstream): 5.3 db
SNR Margin (Downstream): 6.0 db
Line Attenuation (Upstream): 18.6 db
Line Attenuation (Downstream): 30.0 db

What could be the problem for the low levels of SNR? Could it be the constant raining we've been having in Johannesburg?

Many thank guys!

could be of your modem, have you tried another model?

good modems to try is tplink and dlink

Saeros, what is your actual connection speed reported by your ADSL modem?

Rain could most definitely influence it if the trenches flooded, which isn't supposed to happen.
