Hey Guys...

First off a huge thanks to all who has posted to this forum as I have 'almost' successfully 'cut-over' from NoChoice to streaming TV via ADSL...including the Roku 3!
Again everything was so straightforward and I even managed to get a normal monthly subscription from both Netflix and Hulu+ on my Nedbank Cheque Card - NO ISSUES! (was worth trying first.)
I am currently using a 2mb uncapped service from Afrihost and it works well enough with Netflix but Hulu+ doesnt play at all although the catalogue is in HD!!! - I checked the settings and even set it to medium and it still doesnt play any series or movies. :wtf:

I would like to watch everything via the Roku but without the use of a media server (Plex or XBMC) and naturally cannot get any English Football games or am not sure which is the right service to get as I need some help to get this going so I can finally cut the cord with PeeAssTV.

Any suggestions or help would be welcomed...
Thanks again Chaps.

Good for you! I'm using a raspberry pi and openelec (xbmc) I'm able to watch Hulu+ using unotelly.
Also on 2mb uncapped. I can often even watch 720p if no one else uses the net.

If you want to stream HD you need a 6Meg line.

This is from Netflix:

0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for DVD quality
5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
7.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for Super HD quality
12 Megabits per second - Recommended for 3D quality

On the 6mb line, does that mean I have to pay Telkom for a 10mb line and my ISP (Afrihost) for a 6mb uncapped account?

4meg line price is the same as 10meg. And yes. You'd pay your ISP for a 6Meg account.
