I also think that it's better than the greasy ,oily ,fatty KFC.
Can't believe you've only tried it now.
And yes, it is somewhere between KFC and Nando's, taste- and price -wise.

Whoa Nandos is expensive. We bought 3 combo meal things and it came to 110 +- and it fed 7 people and we still had a little left.
Plus the store we went to was clean and barley a line to wait in.

Why do you include fish but not birds?

That's an excellent question and I don't really have an answer - I think it's got to do with the fact that most fish are 100% "free range."

Also, I don't each much fish - probably about once a week. If it wasn't for the good health benefits to be had from eating the occasional fish, I'd prolly be 100% vegetarian.

Back on topic: the sliders are pretty rad too. So cheap.

The nice thing about Nandos is that they give free sherry with their sitdown meals, though.

Fontana use to be awesome and being open 24/7 also helped... buns & gravy + 1/2 a chicken at 4am is great for preventing a hangover :D

But I agree they became way to expensive and the serving sizes also shrunk :(

hmmm... buns and gravy...that was the best student meal ever...8 rolls and a bowl of gravy......

rolls are like R3-50 each now and gravy around R5....what a joke...burger meal prices have jumped to near nandos pricing....

Although I do really like the Licken.. I have not found pricing to be that competitive last I checked.. especially when they are stingy with the sauce.. which itself costs a notable penny IMO. Haven't visited in a long while..

KFC 50/50 deals have been keeping the tummy full, and wallet happy.. namely Saturday wings, and Wednesday snack burgers.
