Anything out of the box I should know about to prevent being married or getting a bunch of loans I don't know about?

Already sorting it out with Home Affairs but worried I might be missing something

Have you done a declaration and statement at the police?
If so you can just use those papers when you get married to someone in Nigeria

At the police station now. Home Affairs needs the form for a new ID anyhow. This the one?

Register on transunion.co.za and setup alerts for your credit profile. If anyone tries to open up an account in your name and ID number you'll know immediately.

This avidavit thing must be new. The last time I lost an ID I just went to home affairs and applied for a new one, no questions asked.

Thanks, had forgotten about this.

Sorry for your loss, need to get off the toilet more carefully next time :p.

After filling that form and as said, register on Transunion, no worries from there. :)

Quick q, will I need another affidavit for the drivers?

Just make sure you have gone to the police etc and such and keep that information hey because the people who stole or gave your ID away will not use it immediately.

Sometime down the road something might crop up, keep the CAS number close to show that you did indeed report it stolen etc.
