Yeah my TV just blew... again. Anyway so anyone here know of a good cheap tv. I'm not sure about HD and flat screens and that yet, but if the price is good then why not

Looking in the R2000-R3000 price range.

You're probably not gonna get anything decent in LCD for R2000 to R3000, unless it is very small (less than 26") or second hand...

What is the size of your current blown out TV? If you can't afford a better/newer HDTV, I recommend getting a cheaper, smaller LCD TV, over buying a ginormous CRT again. We're almost into the 2nd decade of the new millenium. CRT is a dinosaur!! IF you get a smaller LCD TV, you can always use it later on is a computer screen, when you decide to upgrade...

For about R5000 you can get an LG or Samsung 32" HD Ready LCD..

Game/Makro/House&Home/HifiCorp etc, have some cool deals with 32" Full HD tvs. But your looking at around 5000 - 6000 for that.
Perhaps put down 3k as deposit
Otherwise, if you just want something cheap for now, gumtree....

If I do suck it up and go for the 32" lcd. What's the best place to buy? And does anyone know of any good deals?

Also got a LG Full HD 32", but from GAME, also paid R5999 with a 3yr warranty, and paid an extra R700 for an additional 2yr warranty.
