Yeah for my penance I did some past work with time & attendance system (C + PICs) and an AS/400 with RPG.I spent a year working on PIC in assembly language. Loved it!![]()

Guess by C re Apple it covers Objective-C as well? and what about Swift (or are you waiting for ABI)?
Was thinking about getting one, but then I just looked at all my gadgetry gathering dust, decided probably not a good idea...More specifically swift yea.
Got my Arduino a while ago but never got chance to use it. Got a little project idea for fun to do.

Lol, like my Raspberry Pi
We use a Pi to run an IRC server at AfrikaBurn a few years ago. Was fun.
Lol... sounds worse than me; Storage locker (sounds like a wife decision).Lol, I'm moving house end of the month and took my electronics through to storage so that the movers don't have to move it. Incl my 4x4 I had to hire a trailer to move all of it.![]()
Sounds like the old BBS?, do you still remember these? We used a Pi to run a custom chat server at AfrikaBurn a few years ago. Was fun.

Aaah that's brilliant, brings back so many good memories + funny enough recently for fun and to learn Swift I've been writing quite a bit of ANSI related code in the spirit of the old BBS.Never used an acoustic coupler but my first modem ran at 1200 baud.

Yeah must confess to doing the same, don't trust anybody with my toys.No I don't want the movers to break my stuff, so I move it in advance
I wouldn't use Python for backend (or any serious project) ever again.
Why? I was thinking of learning Python and Django.
It is slow, loosely typed and the tabs/spaces to define blocks was funny until the 23rd merge conflict. Why? I was thinking of learning Python and Django.
I'm actually struggling to think of a use case where it is the best tool for the job. Using it as a training language is about all I can come up with. Suppose there are some security/"hacker" uses as well.Python is just fine. Just try and get the right tool for the job.
