I'm looking for a socket 775 motherboard that can take a Pentium D 805 processor, and that has AGP & PCI-E slots. I don’t mind if the memory is DDR or DRR2, or if the motherboard doesn’t have support for Core 2 Duo. Thanks in advance.

I will have a look at jump.co.za

I have a 7800 GS AGP card, and I can get the Pentium D 805 real cheap from a guy upgrading at work. I want to keep my options open to upgrade to a PCI-E card in the future. I don’t want to spend too much on an upgrade now, just the bare essentials to get my AGP card and the Pentium D 805 up and running.

The only chipset that supports AGP and PCIe is the Via PT880 as used in the Asrock 775 Dual VSTA motherboard but they only support a single PCIe 4x lane which is less than useless for a mid to high end gfx cards which want 16x lane.

If you move to PCIe later then buy a decent PCIe capable motherboard then.
