Soo I have my linux running and install softether server.

When I start it it does not use my box public ip instead a local ip

How do I get around that?

Do you have two interfaces? It will bind to both. If its just on the local network you need to either use the azure jump box or have your own.

The Azure jump box is international so its slow. I use a local rport server but you can also install a softether on a vps and cascade the servers.

you sure it has a public ip on the actual box , or is it behind a NAT firewall ? If the public ip is on the box then just bind the vpn service to both nics.If its behind a nat firewall then you have to do port forwarding / inbound nat translation.

Thanks guys I will have look and make sure

One way of doing it but a hub and spoke topology supports more deployments without extra firewall rules.
