Can anybody explain me how to implement SIP in the Internet Protocol environment using a ( open source ) soft switch to configured as a PABX?

wat about asteriskWin32 .since it supports windows ,i would prefer that.but i want to know whether it has any serious limitations.can we able to modify the asteriskWin32 (since it also a open source ),according to our needs?
