Hi Guys

I'm looking for a free video editor to do videos for YouTube uploads. I tried Windows Movie Maker and another program can't recall the name right now. It's from 2-3mins clips.

Need to:
- Add Title and Credits.
- Trim, cut and merge mp4 videos.

The problem with Windows Movie maker and the software I tried was The output file quality is good, but whenever I upload to YouTube the quality is bad. (Codex related issue)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well If you had access to an apple computer i would recommend using iMovie... its simple and quick... and even has built in Video uploads...

Another option is to use a conversion application to convert the output video once you are dont making it on windows...

Dont use much windows as I find the apple Suite to fit all these needs like photo and video editing...

But if you going the free route you and you are happy with the output of your video just pick up a free converter to convert your output to a format that youtube wont complain about...

Funny thing is that youtube converts the Video anyway when you upload it into all the formats it supports... but clearly there is a clash between your output and how their converters read it...

+1 handbrake

Make the videos in windows movie maker and convert with handrake to mp4 and flv. Should be sorted.
