Why? it the best productivity booster ever if you do C#
It just got in my way. Look I haven't done any real c# work (other than helping out) in quite some time so it might be better these days. I used to install powertools and codemaid.

In what way did it get in the way? It's not more 'in the way' than Intellisense. Just better. And R# is so much more than just Intellisense.

For any serious C# user the tool probably saves you 50% of your effort. At least that is my experience.

Sublime, Chrome, PostMan, KRDC

Finally, someone else. The applications that I can not live without?

* Steam
* Firefox Developer Edition
* Sublime Text (Notepad++ comes in just a sliver behind)
* Visual Studio
* git

For work, Visual Studio 2015 Pro, Notepad++ and SSMS.
For home, good old Chrome does just fine.

Everything, FreeFileSync and Excel.

With 6m files on the server and PC freefilesync helps with synchronizing backups. And Everything to find files.

I wish there was Google desktop application (maintained) to keep an index of words in my PDF and other documents and give an instant search result like Everything.

Google Chrome, Drive (I think this is the best free/paid sync works with stuff one drive and others struggle with), Microsoft Office 365 (because it's the standard), Sublime, Eclipse, jd-gui, VMware fusion, chm reader, Readle Suite(Documents, PDF Expert, Scanner/Printer Pro etc), kdiff3, 1password off the top of head are the stuff I use almost daily

Some relative small lists here.Try this on for size.

Work software( Each one plays an integral part in the workflow)
Quixel Suite (Texture painting app)
Photoshop
Gimp
Lithunwrap (for quick uvmaps)
Pixplant (Generates seamless textures from stock photos)
Softimage (3D Modeling app)
Bandicam
Steam (Some development software is on steam)
Leadwerks (Quick test app)
Gameguru (Quick test app)
Bryce (skybox rendering)
Shader map (Creating diffuse, specular, Ambient occlusion, normal, gloss,and displacement maps)
Forster (Tree generator and editing app)
Medusa (Rock generator and editing app)
Pacemaker (quick animation editing app)
Meshviewer (quick DirectX model viewer app)
UV deform (quick app to unwrap a organic uvmap)
Lua editor (for lua scripting)

Bunch of little plugins to softimage, that maker life easier, I simply can't complete the workflow if some of the apps isn't avaible, the biggest one being softimage.
