Solar heated Jacuzzi

Is a solar heated Jacuzzi a better option?
Are you talking of something home made or commercial?

My biggest concern would be the water getting too damn hot. My solar geyser can get the water up to 80 degrees on a decent sunny day.

Really? I never knew they were that efficient.

The amount of water that needs to be heated on demand I highly doubt it. Unless it's always heated?
You can run those rooftop hoses to heat the Jacuzzi but again, it's won't be an on demand solution.

Sorry I should have said solar panels. Is it cheaper - still have to have the pump running? Will it take longer to heat up?

You will need to run the pump to heat it, which means running while the sun is out...

Given that the element is not exactly small no it won't be cheaper... my jacuzzi element is a 3kw element I think.. so you would need to be able to provide it sufficient power to run a 1kw motor and 3kw element...

Ok, so you don't want solar power for the jacuzzi, but solar heated water.

You will need to be running the pump during daylight hours to get much of a benefit really.

Old thread, but I have chatted to people who have a few swimming pool water heating panels on the roof and a 50 to 100W pump for circulation. Can get the jacuzzi water close to temp in summer, then just a small boost with the element. I'm thinking of doing the same, using a circulation pump, something like this:
