Solar installers and suppliers

I get the feeling the PF store isn't particularly good at running an online store. Their prices are pretty competitive but feels like they're still trying to figure things out with the store side.
I think they're swamped, everyone is. There were some issues last year with communication, not sure how it is now. But I think they're focusing on just meeting demand at the moment. Maybe time to grow the team a bit...

I think they are swamped (like most solar suppliers) and are trying their best. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for my Hubble Cloudlink or a refund on it, which I bought and paid for, many many months ago.
I am sure they are, but there are lots of other places that seem to handle these things a lot better.

My experience with LiteGlo was really excellent, that's where I got my batteries through in the end.

Glad you received good service. You must be itching for that install date to come around.

Good to know. Do you know if they actually install themselves (as a company) or are they like brokers for different companies?
Neither. They make recommendations if asked. They also only make recommendations for installers that they are absolutely sure about.

Prices to good to be true, buyer beware!

Man, every time load shedding hits and I realise the inverter and batteries are just sitting in boxes in the garage :crying:
I see Mike posted on his Facebook page that his booked up for more than 30 days. Lots of work available for knowledgeable trusted suppliers & installers.

Also, I'm yet to see a 10kWh rackmount battery like that.

Back to school is where they need to go. Can't even calculate 40% discount. And I see they're they're based in Johunnesburg

Anyone in Cape Town used Solar Advice for equipment & installation? Any feedback on the experience?

You got the quote yet?
Yip, prices on site are correct when they say incl. vat.

Of course quote mentions excluding vat prices and then vat gets added at the end.

Thanks! That's very unexpected, and confusing. I'm still not sure what to think now, either they quoted me wrong in November, the price really dropped by exactly 15% since then, or the price is still wrong and they just haven't figured it out.

There is huge fluctuation every day and that is why they are asking to pay within 24 hours to lock the price. Thanks Eskom & ANC I suppose. :-(

Very good price on that battery since it's listed for R 36k over at Herholdts' website.
