Solar opinions

So i can't be in CPT :(
No, its still:

We must just stick together and ignore nonsense like the etolls.

DA are too big for their boots down there. If I was benevolent dictator, I would run rings around them with one arm tied behind my back and the people would love me.

I thought the regulations they refer to govern grid interconnection?
From the mybb articles I've read and the forum posts it sounds like they treat even a shitty off grid inverter as "connected to the grid" because the AC goes into the input.

Funny enough, they are okay with gennies plugged into the grid.

They are just dumb politicians making laws they have no clue about just to remain relevant and it should be ignored. Power to the people!

It's a little nonsensical - it would be an interesting article to get a definitive opinion from a hardcore sparky.

Very nonsensical. Try explain it to a politician though.

and to think we vote for this ****.

Or Municipal -> Battery Charger. No inverter connected to grid.
You'll have to lie the panels on the grass or just do it right and ignore the nonsense behaviour.

Form a whatsapp telegram group.

I would say critical mass is about 50 to stand your ground, as (from observation) is the magic number when the police or any "authority" that behave like a ruler instead of a public servant stop harassing and do what they do best and just observe from a distance.

New prepaid meter was R1500. It's in and the problem is sorted. Grid doesn't trip anymore.

Now to start trying to figure out how to go about getting two 150l geysers hot through the day on my 7.7kw pv.
I have 2 geysers running on 5.4KW PV (on smart load)

geyserwise smart set them to go on from about 10AM to 1PM if they drop below a certain temp but set a few IFTTT rule to not allow them to come on at the same time (although I have tested the inverter it can run both)

Also have mine on two CBI smart switches, one going on from 10am to 1pm, and the other from 1:30pm to 16:30pm but it's not heating the water enough. Not sure why.

Might be the thermostat is faulty or set low 🤔 I hope you didn't drop the element to 2kw🙈
Difficult to tell without a temp monitor .

But you times on the second Geyser aren't great though we still coming out of winter so your PV dropping from around 2pm
I try get both my Geysers hot before then

It's been fine for the 2 years I've had it. Had a few bugs where it disconnects the pv when it has a certain voltage.
No such rule here in JHB
It is just a axpert clone. It is unable to meet the standards of NRS 097
Technically speaking it is illegal to be used anywhere in the country connected to the grid if it cannot meet that spec.
It is only CT that is currently enforcing that piece of national law.
