Yup. Clearly a back feeding issue.Or feeding back which freeks the meter out?
Yeah, a setting change should fix it, like the 100W mentioned above. Surely the installer should know this?Yup. Clearly a back feeding issue.
Process of elimination I guess. At least they aren't morons.Again, heard a few things that was mentioned, they did set it to 100w trickle, but that didn't work, they even increased it to 500w to do a test but that also didn't work. I really hope I wasn't screwed over but they said I should buy a new prepaid meter, did that now and they are going to install it now. Will see by tonight if everything is sorted out.
and how much does a prepaid meter cost you?Again, heard a few things that was mentioned, they did set it to 100w trickle, but that didn't work, they even increased it to 500w to do a test but that also didn't work. Don't worry about it, I thought Mecer was South African brand, turns out they are just as bad as the rest of them. I grabbed a new all in one earlier after been given the middle finger from Macer. So much for repairability....Mecer, like Kodak and many others is an Axpert inverter. Anyone who services Axpert equipment can assist. Where about are you?
Its cheaper to buy a new one. Not a new mecer. We have all moved onto PSW.Don't worry about it, I thought Mecer was South African brand, turns out they are just as bad as the rest of them. New prepaid meter was R1500. It's in and the problem is sorted. Grid doesn't trip anymore.and how much does a prepaid meter cost you?
My 5kw is still a mecerPretty much just a brand over a axpert shell
lol they not bad I think we all must have had one of them over the years![]()
but as @wingnut771 we all moved on
How did you get to the point of buying a Mecer. Never understood how one could buy a Kodak inverter….ex film company making invertersMy 5kw is still a mecer
I went hmmm it cost a bit less so I can get another batteryHow did you get to the point of buying a Mecer. Never understood how one could buy a Kodak inverter….ex film company making inverters![]()
How has it been performing etc. I heard the Kodak’s are illegal in CPT if installed now.I went hmmm it cost a bit less so I can get another battery
It's been fine for the 2 years I've had it. Had a few bugs where it disconnects the pv when it has a certain voltage. How has it been performing etc. I heard the Kodak’s are illegal in CPT if installed now.
Yup, pretty much this
Isn't the approved list only for grid tied? It's been fine for the 2 years I've had it. Had a few bugs where it disconnects the pv when it has a certain voltage.
No such rule here in JHB
Who knows I'm not in CPTIsn't the approved list only for grid tied?
