Solar panel systems advice

If you want to go Ecoflow route I would wait a month or so until the Ecoflow 2 models come out. These use LiFePO batteries which have >2000 cycles vs the 800 or so on the current Lithium NMC ones. The price difference should probably not be huge.
thanks for update

geewiz has this in stock, is this worth it to run +-150W usage for like 4-5 hours. also i'm not sure what the charging amps or timeframe of charging times are

it's similar prices to the ecoflow, but its got more wattage power and cycles

This is what you want.

Hi all. I came across this solar system provider.. And not knowing much about same I thought I'd seek advice from this forum.

Would investing in the attached system be worthwhile
Your budget?

Do you have an idea on what your usage is in kWh. I bought a kila watt to have an estimate.
Even your average kWh usage per month can helpful. Note that this does not take into account any usage spikes, just the average usage.

Without this info, you basically asking how long is a piece of string.

Not necessarily, paying double for a 5kW system can also be dodgy, it all depends on what the 5kW system entails, because terms such as 5kW systems can be used to mean anything.

For an example, you can have a 5kw inverter for R10k, you can also have a 5kW inverter for R17k or R25k, it doesn't mean the cheaper one is dodgy. 5kW system can mean a 5kW inverter and a 1.2kWh battery, while another 5kW system can mean a 5kw inverter, a 5kw solar array and a 5kWh battery, the devil is always in the detail.
To be honest I can not imagine the installer making much profit on a R72k install with these specs
Some napkin pricing...

A cheap luxpower 5kva = ~R13,000 (You could get one of the old mk2 voltronic for ~R10,000 but lets skip a repeat about what is a hybrid inverter debate)
2x pylon/deye/etc ~3.5K 48v = ~R44,000
6x 400W @~R2,000/Panel = ~R12,000
Mounting system = ~R2,000-3,000
Combiner box / battery disconnect = ~R2,000
Xm 4/6mm Solar cable, home gauged wiring, ATS, etc, etc

There's almost no budget left for labour or profit... so I doubt this installer will be around long enough to support the installation for its full warranty period

Which company is this? Maybe it is already mentioned in this thread ?

The ad is probably just for the first 3 things.

Much like with spelling.... :)

R72 000 for a 5KW system is dodgy. We are getting a similar system and we paid almost double
What is your exact setup though ? How many solar panels / batteries / inverter capacity etc? Brand ?
