Good Day, I would like to know what i would require if i would like to make all my light in my house run off a solar system.
  • Panel size
  • Amount of panels
  • Charge controller size
  • Battery bank
  • Inverter Size
All lights are LED lights.
  • 30 W Lights are outdoor lights that run average 12 Hours at night.
  • 75 W is one ceiling fan that runs about 12 hours at night
  • 180 W are the remaining lights in the house, some of them are rarely used other used a bit more but no longer than 2 hours a day.
Total: 285 W

30x12=360Wh
75x12=900Wh
180x2= 360Wh

Total 1.62kWh.

At 5hrs of sun that would be 324W of solar, meaning a single 330 minimum panel.

You don't need a separate charge controller just get an inverter with a built in one, anything from 500W inverter will work but small inverters are usually expensive when you compare them rand per watt so I would get the best value for money even if it's bigger. Make sure it's a pure sine wave just for peace of mind.

Battery, you need a 1.62kwh battery if it's 100% dod, at 50% dod you'll need twice that.

Another suggestion would be to convert all of your lighting to DC (12volt) the wiring 15 amp will handle the load.
