Some Cell C Data Promotion questions

Pray tell me how this rate of R390/Gb is determined when compared to R42/Gb for 24Gb over 12 months? It means going back to Vodacom/MTN after the CellC 2Gb for the month is finished!

WEIRD pricing indeed.

Hi Antonf

If you're considering the possibility of using up the whole 2GB in a month, we'd suggest getting the 5GB bundle instead. ;-)

I think the sentiment really is that your in-bundle offering and out-of-bundle offering are misaligned. 2GB might be fine for most people, but there could be those one or 2 months when you need that little bit extra. Make it affordable so people will buy it when they need it.

I've been using the Vodacom dongle for the past 12 months and their out-of-bundle rate is R2 per MB. 39cents is a breath of fresh air!

yeah - quit complaining! just accept the cell c deal for what it is - a huge leap forward for capped internet pricing in SA.

But this is not a contract so how do you pay the out-of-bundle data? Topup with airtime and pay 39c per MB?

The pricing is great. I just hope they release a prepaid model soon because I can't fork out that lump sum at this point.

I agree. I'm also puzzled by this. Neotel charges 0.19c per Mb. I hope Cell C will revisit this pretty quickly, it's the only aspect of the entire product I don't like.
