Could that not be more based on the browser that you are using? The different browsers behave differently, also in the way they translate the page code to be displayed.

In the US, if you use chrome to browse and you on a google network, your data is rated at zero, wish we had something here.

Best thread to stumble across on a Friday afternoon... just could not help but laugh at the trolling and even worse those not knowing they are being trolled :D

Serious business though.... have you noticed that some networks also charge more if you are further from the tower? Before making a call check where the nearest tower is and get as close to it as possible. The closer you are the cheaper the call as the service provider used less energy to send the call to your phone and they pass these savings on.

You see the problem with these things now is that it becomes very hard to prove. But are you guys saying that all the developers feel good about their work so much that they ALL decide to keep it low. Someone somewhere should/could/would say something about this now wouldn't they?

I am not refusing the claims here but in the current world we live in, it is just so difficult to prove so many things.

But anyway back to the main thread. If all you guys claim to know of this, how come you have kept quite about it for so long?

I always go sit on the toilet when making long calls, the shape of the porcelain bowl improves the signal tons. It saves a bit every month.

It's like a glass improves signal underground: http://lifehacker.com/5782062/improve-smartphone-signal-with-a-drinking-glass

BeatBot, they are making fun of you and trolling you. It does not matter what bloody phone you have, the call rates are the same regardless what phone you have. The per minute / second billing remains same whether you use a 3310 or an iPhone. Don't let these trolls make fun of you.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

Keep in mind an iPhone sends location data to Apple all the time. Unless you are on an iPhone contract you'll be paying for this data usage.

Not if its turned off in your settings. It does not affect my call time or amount I pay per call.

No to call you out or anything...

In regards to data being router to heaven and back to earth, how do they do it? I mean imagine how many people make a phone call at the same time? So with the growing number in sales how do they manage this with their hardware and even transmitting from SA to USA then back to my buddie on the other end of the line (in real time).

I am just looking to gain some knowledge based on what you know already.

FWIW it's not streamed to the USA and THEN back here. It's streamed over there in real time. But somebody does have to cover that cost, and it filters down to the users at the end of the day.

? It's not right lying to this poor guy. If you find it funny lying to people and making a fool of them then shame on you. And as for you, the little bit of respect I had is gone. I don't know what you are trying to say with your snide little remark but you can go to hell.

Merc is incredibly two dimensional :(

Clearly bro you have no idea what the costs are cause you get free minutes

use prepaid and notice the difference

Nothing is free.

And prepaid is flat rated so actually the best exact to prove it's identical.
