Something a bit different inside, come look!

I must still order it...but yeah faster bolt-on speeds

...or could bolt-on not just work automatically? why the need to switch accounts to do that? I mean...if WA can do that with their accounts...for example I've got a small 60+240Gb with them (backup account). The 240gb only counts from 00:00:00 till 06:00:00. It would make life much simpler if bolt-on was linked to the 100gb fatpipe.

That was possible before. They removed it. :)

It's not a matter of being able to or not, it has to deal with what business wants us to engineer on the back end. I'll take your suggestion as something like Fatpipe account with roll over data during office hours, and another quota level for night time use? If my assumption is wrong, let me know.

Power of factoring:
* Fatpipe 50^2 (50GB day, and 100GB night time)
* Fatpipe 100^3 (100GB day, and 300GB night time)
* Fatpipe 200^4 (200GB day, and 800GB night time)

Carry over?
What times?
What pricing?

Regards,
Chris

I have a bolt-on account with the now discontinued Gig4Gig. I don't really use ADSL before 5pm so what would be cool, is a 50GB account or something well-priced that I could use the bolt-on account with, without the need to switch accounts.

That being said, now that the Gig4Gig is discontinued, how do clients sign-up for the bolt-on?

Stop deploying ATM design on your network which keeps the price of data high and fibre connections asymmetrical with less users contending for the same ports.
Use CDMA which will increase the number of people you can accommodate on a single longhaul fibre backbone effectively reducing the price.
Or design FDDI or FDDT networks on fibre over SONET.
Fibre should not be asymmetrical.

For the sake of convenience I would love to see bolt-on bundled with fatpipe again.

As already mentioned bolt-on rate limited to 10mb/20mb/40mb would be a massive win for the consumer.

I get the impression that VOX is toning down the bolt-on promo rather than trying to revive it though.

But it would be nice to see the gig4gig + bolt-on range diversified. And call it something else, VOX25/50/100/200

IE VOX25gb gig4gig + bolt-on = R148 (bolt-on rate limited to 10mb)
VOX50gb gig4gig + bolt-on = R237 (bolt-on rate limited to 10mb)
VOX100gb gig4gig + bolt-on = R415 (bolt-on rate limited to 10mb)
VOX200gb gig4gig + bolt-on = R771 (bolt-on rate limited to 10mb)

Bolt-on rate limited to 20mb:
VOX25 = R207
VOX50 = R296
VOX100 = R474
VOX200 = R830

Bolt-on rate limited to 40mb
VOX 25 = R325
VOX50 = R414
VOX100 = R592
VOX200 = R948

Talk with me about well priced, like how much?

I would love to have to option to apply Bolt On on a Fat Pipe product. That would make me very happy and I can tell you it would make a lot of others happy too. :) :)

Very nice sand_man! Now we're talking! What about bundling other services like back up, voice, mobile data, bundled line?

I hear you, but at what cost?
Price difference for 10Mbps, 20Mbps, 40Mbps, or flat fee?

Chris

Free data between Monday 23:00 and 06:00 Tuesday morning.

I'm afraid to ask why this 7 hour time window!!! :wtf:

EDIT (couldn't help it):
Free data or un-tracked data?? :D

Chris

Just for a start, see how it goes. If it goes good, include Tuesday or more hours, depending on your available IPC and traffic volumes and all those stuff.
