How much?
R730 including line rental with VOX?
Yeah around that if bundled, but to be honest i prefer not to bundle.
I'd be happy to pay R250 for the data portion(4mbps).

How much?
R730 including line rental with VOX?
Hey all,
Let's have some fun!
There's been a number of discussions in several different threads about who has the best product, what the best deal of the week is, whose network is rocking, and whose isn't ...
I'm sure a lot of you have seen our latest special, the 100GB Fatpipe account at a 50% discount found here (https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/promo-fatpipe-100gb); special ends July 31! With a special coming to an end ... we thought it might be nice to keep the ball rolling and dish out another special.
While we were brain storming, mashing calculator buttons, and having some amazing coffee we thought about turning this on its head a bit and ask the community what ideas they may have for our next special? I mean, you are the ones who your friends and family listen to about when it comes to internet access right???
So here's your chance... What should our next special be??
You've got 48 hours to get these ideas in to me, keep it here in this thread, please don't abuse my inbox!

Suggestions so far:
* Faster Bolt On speeds (more free stuff!)
* 50% discount for 250GB Fatpipe
* Discounted 50GB Fatpipe
* 25GB Fatpipe
* Reviving G4G + BoltOn (page 2 sand_man)
* 4MB ADSL line + 25GB + Bolt-on for R399 per month (bundling line + account, pg 3 skud)

Regards,
Chris

IMHO - Forget the add-on bundles and bolt ons and gimmicks - ideally focus on a quality capped per GB service at competitive prices (Your 100GB 50% off special is in the sweet spot for many users - it would be nice though if you allowed more than 1 session). If you want to add such services though please ensure they're limited to low demand periods and for goodness sake please do not oversubscribe your service. I think alot of capped users prefer a service that is available on demand at full line speed.
you're all thinking small
chris, if you want to end the competition, implement a Make-Your-Own package system. The idea was inspired by an ISP I used to use in Finland and Vox's current Telkom FTTH "system"
details;
Choose your line speed:
2Mbs
4Mbs
10Mbs
20Mbs
40Mbs
(maybe even include the FTTH stuff in this and make it a one stop shop)
Choose your data:
Uncapped
<deals>
Capped
<deals>
Add-Ons for capped:
<Bolt-On>
Here the client may choose their max (up-to) speed to add to their capped account
eg
up to 2Mbs (Rxx)
up to 4Mbs (Rxx)
up to 6-10Mbs (Rxx)
and so on...
Value added services
<backup>
<voice>
<etc>
Will allow the client massive control over their needs and may lead to clients migrating their services to Vox.
and if you're bored and find yourself near a keyboard, add a "share my bundle" option and let users see what bundles other users with similar needs are on.
rough mash up of ideas i had.

Totally agree. Network performance / quality trumps gimmicks any day IMHO. Even after hours/weekends - some of us work strange hours.
To be honest this fatpipe special is perfect, exactly what I was looking for for the past year!I'm also sure many would like the return of the bolt-on to compliment their fatpipe! Point is, your internet service is flawless! What I would like is a nicer "client zone" and perhaps a mobile app to monitor your usage.
What should our next special be??
Why don't you offer uncapped data between 00:00 and 6/7am on you FatPipe accounts.
Would be nice to save some of the bandwidth for peak times and do downloads late at night when the network has tons of free capacity....
Just checking if one could use this data with a Telkom Fibre line as well.
Bolt on + 100gig special.
sand_man said:If you were to sell a naked Bolt-on product with no peak time bandwidth and based on your current pricing module?
How about prepaid 20gig rolling account for when Telkom internet does its tricks?

Can I get your FAT PIPE thingy with VOX also sorting out the ADSL line. I'm moving to a new place at the end of this month, so would I still be able to get this deal?
EDIT: oh wait, I see the special ends at month-end. For some reason I thought the special price would apply until such time as the client ends the service. My bad.

So you're saying a Nights and Weekends "uncapped" account? Wide open account or something with a fair use policy?
