Something a bit different inside, come look!

On a side note ... there's a new package being offered where you can link the bolt on :whistle: it's known by some, but will finally be available on the web site in the next few days. This new thing, is not related to the special we will still reveal soon (tm). =)

I'll play...

My guess/s is the following:
A.) 20mb bolt-on R118
B.) 50gb gig4gig + bolt-on (10mb/20mb)?? R219/R278
C.) 100gb fatpipe + bolt-on (10mb/20mb)?? R379/R438

Just to add to what sandman suggested:

A 100gig fatpipe with uncapped bolt-on would be the perfect account for me(priced around R250). The bolt-on could even be rate limited to 4mbps to make the product sustainable. Many of us can't get higher than 4mbps because of exchange issues, so a 4mbps pricing tier would be nice.

Currently paying R299 p/m for my 4MB ADSL line with Telkom. If you could bundle the 4MB ADSL line + 25GB + Bolt-on for R399 per month that would be a sweet deal :)

Not signed up for the 100GB special...need more data, when and where can I sign up for 200GB at 50%? :D

you're all thinking small

chris, if you want to end the competition, implement a Make-Your-Own package system. The idea was inspired by an ISP I used to use in Finland and Vox's current Telkom FTTH "system"

details;
Choose your line speed:
2Mbs
4Mbs
10Mbs
20Mbs
40Mbs
(maybe even include the FTTH stuff in this and make it a one stop shop)

Choose your data:
Uncapped
<deals>
Capped
<deals>
Add-Ons for capped:
<Bolt-On>
Here the client may choose their max (up-to) speed to add to their capped account
eg
up to 2Mbs (Rxx)
up to 4Mbs (Rxx)
up to 6-10Mbs (Rxx)
and so on...

Value added services
<backup>
<voice>
<etc>

Will allow the client massive control over their needs and may lead to clients migrating their services to Vox.

and if you're bored and find yourself near a keyboard, add a "share my bundle" option and let users see what bundles other users with similar needs are on.

rough mash up of ideas i had.

Bumping this idea up.

-Uncapped Bolt On for FatPipe 100GB !
-Option to pay for concurrent connections

  • A 25-30% price drop on current products.
  • The option to add uncapped bolt on to FatPipe products [limited at 10Mbps] - R70
  • An option to pay more to bump up the speed limit for the above (I don't know if scaling the price linearly will be reason/unreasonable here)

How do I find out my VOX Fatpipe login details? For the website, so I can check balances?

Actually the more I think about this the more convinced I am that we will see the following:

50gb gig4gig with bolt-on R237
100gb gig4gig with bolt-on R415
200gb gig4gig with bolt-on R771

No, I only received a SMS with login details for my router, they don't work on the VOX site? and I need to check where 100Gb went in 3 days :)

Good God man!! 100gb in 3 days??!! Think you will have to phone Vox or PM @Voxy your log in username and let him find out. You should have got your username and password via sms or email and usually both are pretty obscure and can't be changed. Pretty painful that.

Very strange as router logs say 19Gb down and 6Gb up this week, but I got greeted by a VOX usage screen today?

Mmmmm, now that's a problem!! Maybe that's why you didn't get your account username and login details? Whoever setup your account hasn't done it properly... Better get Voxy in on the act or if you in a hurry phone them...

Yeah, it's a bit confusing cause there usually 2 smses/emails. One with router details and one with account details.

Just got off the phone, problem resolved. I forgot because I signed up so late in the month it was pro-rata :) I now also have all my account details. and will be having words with my son when he gets home about his "gaming" habits :)

Must say it's an interesting approach by Telkom to offer unlimited bandwidth after 00:00 till 07:00 on their new accounts.

I know most IS accounts offer x3 the cap etc, but I wonder if this is not a taste of things to come and if others will follow suite in this aspect. Also note that this unlimited time frame can make full use of your line speed. So it one ups Bolt-On there.

Keen to see what VoX has up it's sleeve.
