Something a bit different inside, come look!

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the feedback. I see you already saw the new special https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/promo-fatpipe-300gb!

There is a maximum of 1.8TB of carry over permitted on this account. Just so we are clear, it's a maximum carry over, not a 6 month carry over.

If you've got any questions, let me or Voxy know.

EDIT: Oh by the way, you guys know this special is limited to the first 1000 people right?

Regards,
Chris

The only problem which I found ( and I guess many others) is that I got 100Gbx 2 from last month . If I want to upgrade I have to give a cancellation notice to those accounts including the necessary time period which makes the whole thing very complicated and costly .

online orders only - here's the problem

your online system isnt the best when purchasing - i purchased a uncapped product last month (or the month before) and it took me forever, then another day because it wasnt activated, eventually just called in and the consultant said its best to delete the online order and do a manual one through the call centre which took less than 5 mins.

Lets hope it was a once off and no else experiences this for the special

My online order took less than 5 minutes:P But I have seen a few people having problems ordering online which i thought was strange, but anyways...

Chris, for absolute clarity 'cos I'm seeing the question pop up all over the place (and apologies if you have already explained elsewhere), what happens after six months?

a. Contract expires but auto renews at promo price
b. Contract expires but auto renews at normal price
c. Contract does not expire and promo price continues
d. Contract does not expire but normal price kicks in

Thanks

must of been just me then :(

Nah, I would say it works 90% of the time.

I also had an issue the first time I tried buying a VOX product. I tried entering my business account details (Bank Of Athens) and it didn't want to know... Subsequently purchased the product using my personal bank (Nedbank).

A week or 2 later, I set up a new account and tried my BOA business account again and it processed without issue.... So....???

Any chance you'd be willing to port my 3 x 100gb to one of these 300gb accounts?

cvanwie - with all these specials I hope your network will be able to sustain the usage - wouldn't be nice if you end up like AH and a few thousand customers screaming and shouting at you.

Remember I'm not on the business side of the company, rather on the technology side.

My understanding from reading the product spec (https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/promo-fatpipe-300gb) is that the price of the package will remain as long as you are subscribed to it.

Discounted rate will apply for the duration of the subscription

Also, keep in mind that the carry over is NOT 6 months validity, rather its a maximum of 6 times the amount of the package (300GB x 6 = 1.8TB).

I hope that clears it up, if not ... ask for more. I'll do my best.

Agreed! We have capacity and we continually review the trends to understand how and what a product will do to our network.

There are unexpected events which do occur which may have an impact like the onslaught of the Windows 10 download, or a massive iOS update. These are exceptions which happen and we do the best to roll with them while providing a great online experience.

So is there a way now we can upgrade our 100gb accounts to this seemlessly? Or is it going to be a painful and costly process? Can you please answer this as other people have asked this as well?

This was my major concern last month....

Any chance you'd be willing to port my 3 x 100gb to one of these 300gb accounts?

Technically it would take me seconds, unfortunately... Can't do it.

All orders must be managed through the respective platforms to avoid fraud and have proper auditing.

@FAFA: This applies to your question as well.

Ha ha, I know the feeling - please ask your product guys to choose a,b,c,d above :D

The rollover 'cap' is clear - no need for further feedback on that score

So in short?

We have to pay for this months 100gb accounts at X (being amount of accounts) * R164 + the R485 of the new package for this month if we wanted to switch. So in essence we need pay a lot more than people who didn't go for your first special.

I want to migrate to that 25gb + Bolton but I may wait for all the feverish activity to die down. don't want disruption to my awesome service.

What's the notice period on the 100gb accounts?

EDIT: Is it possible to purchase the 300gb special effective month end and not pro-rata from the time of sign up?

EDIT: Yesterday it was very specific that the special would be reviewed 6 months from now. So just to confirm, the account remains valid for as long as the customer wants it?

EDIT: Is one able to cancel accounts online? Don't see an option for it.

Reading the QA on the 300gb account, it seems that one should be able to upgrade or downgrade your fatpipe account:

Q. Will I ever lose this unused data?
A: No. Unused data will remain available for you as long as you are subscribed to a fat pipe ADSL package.

Q. If I migrate to a larger fat pipe product e.g 500GB, will my unused data limit increase?
A: Yes. Your new limit will be 3TB or 6 x 500GB.

Q. If I have accumulated 750GB of unused data on my Fat Pipe 150GB package (max limit 900GB) and I downgrade to a Fat Pipe 100GB package, will I lose any accumulated data?
A: You will lose 150GB of unused data since 100GB x 6 = 600GB.

Also, there is a 30 day cancellation period.

So @cvanwie, how can I go about to UPGRADE my current account to the new 300gb special? It should be allowed as per your QA section?

You need to stick to technical then, cause you spreading misinformation. :p

According to Catherine in sales:

1.) VOX require a calendar months notice on account cancellations so anyone wanting to cancel their 100gb account for 300gb account will have an active and paid for 100gb account until the end of September.
[-]2.) The special rate is valid for 6 months after which it reverts to R925. Asked twice and confirmed twice by Catherine.[/-]
3.) The 100gb accounts special rate is valid for 12 months.

I know the time for ideas have passed, but I would love to have an account that changes based on my needs.

For example, I sign up for a 100GB day and 500GB 12-6 account. Some months I might have to do a lot of streaming, or work from home and then the 100GB day isn't enough. I don't want to go through the hassle of upgrading my account, and then downgrading it again a month later. Upgrading the 100GB would mean adding more to the 500GB night, would also be a waste yet I am paying for it as part of the upgrade.

So, allow me to pick a 100/500 starting point. If I use up my 100GB give me the option to buy another 100GB (for the same price). If I use up the 500GB night, let me buy more for that time slot in 100GB addons.

Next month, it starts at 100/500 again as the base (or whatever my base is).

That will allow me to use change my behavior and have my account adapt to it without hassle.
