Something has gone terribly wrong - ANC veterans

Power hungry, greedy organization that unilaterally decided it would resort to terrorism and bombed innocent people to get their own way, the leopard can not change it's spots. And they wonder what went wrong? ****ing stupid twats.

The ANC for their own sake needs to institute hidden votes in Parliament and they better do it now , firstly to vote out Zuma and secondly they gonna need it when they lose the next elections.

Zuma has built himself an empire. Every single ANC member in parliament has been handpicked. He has done this to ensure that he will not be voted out in events like these. He also needs them for his future plans. Over and above this, he reigns by seeding fear into people. Zuma is a brutal person. He has been in Apartheid years too and did not hesitate to kill his own people when they went against him. There is no way they will vote Zuma out.

Yip. They should have just accepted that they were racially inferior and fought for the revival of slavery. What were they thinking?

You can almost smell the vitriolic racism in these guys comments.

Pissed off whiney whiteys...

These people (the 100+ signatories) all had a major part in a 'new South Africa'... Mandela, Hani, Bico all had a vision for SA...

What happened was that 8 or so years ago, Zuma popped his ugly face around... And the ANC NEC delved deep into corruption.

These people still hold dear their movement... So this is an immensely good thing that they are speaking out against Zuma... and it is not new as some misinformed people have commented. They have been speaking out since Vytjie Mentor publicly came out last year.

Then it is new, very new, many of us have spoken out since the arms deal and the rape case, before Zuma was elected.

Mandela is one of the 100 signatories?

S'true, even then some of us asked how can they choose an openly corrupt man for president, but they just laughed in our faces and did it anyway. Twice actually.

Now they cry 'cos the same guy shows the Guptas more love & money than his own people. Something went wrong all right, and we know exactly what it is..

Who is "they"?

Who is "they"?
I really don't get the issue some people have with the word ''they'' It's clear in the context that it was used. ''They'' refer to anc supporter that voted for Zuma.
Are you trying to play some kind of race card?

There's other ways of fighting against a government that ''oppressed'' people. Like not killing civilians. That's why the ANC was rightly classified as a terrorist organisation back then.

Yes, Gandhi probably achieved more with his protesting style than any bomb.

Or I don't have a problem with rebels bombing the real ''enemy'' but going after civilians soft targets make them terrorist.

Some groups have been trying to get Zuma out since the day Mbeki was removed.

The situation the ANC and South Africa find themselves in didn't just happen overnight. There has been large scale corruption since the beginning (As soon as they had the power the arms deal happened.)

There has been a climate of self-enrichment and corruption in the ANC for decades now. This environment has lead to Jacob Zuma - and the unconditional support he has received from the leadership structures within the ANC means that there is no reason for future leaders of the ANC to behave any differently.

These people speaking out now have been complacent for so long that they are complicit in the downfall of the country.
