I am using a old nokia E5 for this sim. It only has 1 app on it that I have been running on it for months.. Now I had to go double check but there is no way for 4 months my usage never goes over 100mb... Today I check the portal and this is what I get:


The best of all is. The phone is set to edge only so for it to download that amount is crazy. I am pretty sure either MTN or afrihost data logs ****ed up

Have you checked the logs on the device? Might have been a delayed report of an app or OS download.

nokia e5 does not have stuff like it you need to download something its so old it can't even use whatsapp

I double checked all my old logs I have no clue how on earth it can download this much and on EDGE only. Its set edge only I also have only edge signal.Pretty sure logs are not 100% correct here

Gosh the lack of support from afrihost has gone backwards in the last year or so, not even reply.

Could you check the detailed CSV logs to see if the usage reflects there as well please.

I did check it did show. I wish it was more detailed but anyways I checked all my logs, It should not be possible its a nokia e5 that thing cant even run whatsapp

I had a single day with 2GB (yes, gig) usage on a 250Mb free package.

I downgraded most of my mobile numbers, because they also fabricated a R62 charge on my account and disconnected all numbers about 1 or 2 years later for it. I noticed later on (after investigating) that the amount was dragging along all this time.

The only words I have for them hide behind asterisks on this forum.

We don't track what the actual data is being used for, just the amount of data being used. What app are you running on the E5?

Don't worry, I don't hold grudges too long (only a year or so).

Might be back one day on Adsl and upgrade mobile data...
