When I went to bed, I closed my laptop like I always do. I literally just close it and put it next to me on the bedside table. No manual sleep, hibernation, etc.

Earlier this morning, when I opened it and pressed the power button, it showed the Dell logo (as normal) so I got up to brush my teeth and went to make a cuppa Joe and a sandwich. I'd say I was gone for about five minutes.

When I got back in the room, I noticed that it was still displaying the Dell logo and I was like WTF?! So I hard reset it and fired it up again. Again it gets stuck at the Dell logo so now all sorts of things are running thought my head. Could it be the SSD? Could it be RAM? Fuuuuck!!! Next week I'm starting work, WTF am I going to do?!

I've spent the greater part of 30 minutes fiddling around in the BIOS, saving, restarting, still get stuck on the Dell logo.

Eventually out of sheer frustration, I rip out the mouse and moer it on the bed next to me and as I did that, out of the corner of my eye I notice the laptop begins to boot.

It's the first time ever that I've come across a situation where a device, as electronically simple as a mouse, could prevent a machine from booting :p
