SONA 2015

Dude with the butterfly on his head looks like he simply does not give a f anymore...

Eskom being forced to go to gas...wth...hardly the time for additional artificially constraints.

As for the rest...eish.
Buthelezi never fails to amuse...

So tinfoil hat time...
All those feed problems.
So that chamber is pretty much broadcast all the time on the parliament channel. Never any hiccups.
What's the bet all those glitches were caused by someone installing some kind of delay loop so the feed could be reviewed before broadcast and embarrassing bits cut out?

AAAAH
Wadda an evening of fun and entertainment ....

The evening kicked off with a fashion show, followed by some magic - the 3G signal magically disappeared, then onto the Red Riotous Ringpiece EFF group stirred up storm with their act while the Speaker Duo sang their famous - Sir Gent at Ummms Remove Them song, followed by the antics of the dance troop VokofEFF, who had a waltz with the EFF.

Then the DA took the time for a narrative, followed by their dancing skills as they shuffled out.

The main attraction was that world famous comedian and all round king of clowns, Jay Zeeeee. He entertained us with a litany of funny tales, most notably that he had a plan, that he would be paying Eskom bonuses to the tune of R26 billion, and then laughed off FDI with his Xenophobic land ownership rules, picked on his usual suspect - apartheid and had good time entrenching majoritarianism over democracy.

The evening ended off with peer review ..... great fun was had by all.

Yoh.. parliament is gonna put entertainers out of business..

The DA walking out has absolutely no effect on voters. I'm not sure where people get this line from? Lazy news reporters?

All that happened last night was some turd talking crap. If anyone was really interested in what that chop had to say, well his speech is published.

The glitches and audio problems were only on the SABC feeds. The other broadcasters, ANN7 and ECNA both were fine.
For some reason the SABC stream was delayed by around 30s as well.

So the sabc was preparing to censor. Makes sense.

And to add to the sensorship: SABC feed showed nothing of the EFF arrival and entry. All the other feeds showed them, the SABC felt it was more important to have a look at the jazz band at the time

I read the SAG published transcript... They left out the bit where he chuckled and said he was a veteran right after announcing 5000 housing projects for war veterans.

LOL - it will be interesting to see what turns up in the Hansard if the jammer took out the recording equipment too.

Post-SONA2015 breakfast meeting happening.

Zuma reckons that wearing miner's outfits and domestic workers outfits is a form of oppression. I think he's misunderstanding the message Julius is trying to send: why should the oppressed (as Zuma puts it) workers have to wear these outfits, yet in Parliament we dress up in R10000 suits?
