SONA 2015

How so?

He has said nothing of any value, and has lied constantly already.

Apparently unparliamentary to say "lie". Was watching parliament TV yesterday. Could not believe, someone can stand there, talk ****, and not be called a liar. You have to say "misled". And you can't use the words "deliberately misled" either. Only "misled" on its own to imply that the misleading was done by accident. What a crock of horse ****.

I thought he was much more affable. I didn't think he was lying (Spinning a little bit, but not as much as usual)

His history lesson was a lie, straight out lie. His reference to JvR was a lie, straight out... those are the two that jump to mind...

Who cares about him being "affable", he is still a useless corrupt idiot.

All in all, it was a good story....from Jan, to the dog, to the netball team...geeze, I am tempted to start drinking the koolaid ...

I could see his point

Madness It Must Be Love

I think this is a more apt Labi Siffre song:

I highly doubt Zuma and Mbete were expecting the backlash

Yeah I saw that.... pisses me off.

Perception of history is NOT subjective in the slightest, the history you are taught can be subjective though (especially when its wrong)

Actually perception is by its nature subjective but scholarly discourse concerns itself with teasing perception out from among verified factual data and identifying perceptions of individuals as subjective constructs of the world in which those individuals found themselves

What Zuma is attempting to do is not to provide somebodies experience of historical events - how the **** can he hope to accomplish that on events 200 years before he was spawned - but rather is attempting to introduce revisionism through the back door and in the process adulterate what is a rather large body of understanding that really doesn't support his political agenda.

Well stated

That since then, there has been continual strife (at a much higher level than previously seen)

Bollocks.

Mfecane, the migration from Central Africa to Southern Africa and the decimation of the Khoisan?
