SONA 2015

Actually perception is by its nature subjective but scholarly discourse concerns itself with teasing perception out from among verified factual data and identifying perceptions of individuals as subjective constructs of the world in which those individuals found themselves

What Zuma is attempting to do is not to provide somebodies experience of historical events - how the **** can he hope to accomplish that on events 200 years before he was spawned - but rather is attempting to introduce revisionism through the back door and in the process adulterate what is a rather large body of understanding that really doesn't support his political agenda.

Yeah you are right...

And yeah, he is trying to introduce revisionism, which is monumentally unacceptable.

Also, something else (tinfoil hat engaged) that occured to me, possibly the reference to JvR starting the trouble is more a subtle attempt at racism. He can't technically say "Whites are the problem", so now he will blame it on a specific white person in history, and thereby paintin all white people with the same brush.

Agreed - except for the High Treason part. Why do you say that?

conspiring with an agent of a foreign power (Thales is an agent of the French government) to commit an act constituting dereliction of sworn duty in the aide of that power for remuneration or protection

is a form of High Treason which historically got you boiled in oil before having your head put on a pike

O and then ask Charles about sending armed men under your command into Parliament

In other news, the foreign land ownership clarification is a major relief. Although I suspected it would go away

it isn't a clarification or "going away" but rather more Orwellian double speak on a pile of horse**** that is a product of Zuma having multiple guns to his back from various thugs inside the party

On the former, I see you point.
On the later however, if the police had been sent in by the executive against the orders of the Chairperson on the NA, I would have agreed. However, it was clearly not against her wishes, as she made the call

ok, so what is your issue with Mfecane...?? btw thank you for bringing years of repressed Groot Trek history back...geeze, what a load of bollocks they use to feed kids with.

I don't have an issue with the Mfecane, but to refer to them as "Minor tribal wars" is a joke of monumental proportions.

it doesn't matter
Zuma's thugs entered the House and she was acting to protect him

Mbete declaring war on Parliament is a reason that she should be swinging from the gallows but it doesn't excuse Zuma's complicity in the High Treason

Oh, I completely agree. Which is why I thought there was zero chance of it coming about (I suspected it would die in a committee somwhere, or get watered down. Which it has already. It would upset way to many influential people linked to the ANC/Zuma)
