So... the consensus from the Sonic fandom is that this movie is a crock of shyte.
My consensus is that it is a piece of shyte not worth watching. It is created by people who have never played the game, nor actually have an understanding of the fandom at all. I'm a veteran in the Sonic fandom, over 20 years I've been there.
Reasons include:
* Total disregard for Sonic's proportions and height and limb measurements
* Creating a creature representing a yeti *urgh*
* Total disregard for the actual Sonic universe (of course, they've never played a Sonic game in their lives nor do they actually know of the relationships and various items in the Sonic world)
* Even those furries who have Sonic and related fursuits do NOT look like this creature

The whole yeti thing is another play on bigfoot. Feels all pedo like to me.
I cant believe they allowed this to happen to the franchise.

SEGA is in financial dwang, they're going to do anything to make a buck. And many key developers are long gone, so they cannot push back against this abomination.
Even I as an artist, stick to the franchise's status quo as defined by the creators:

Yeah, the key reason this happened is because of their famous incident of one of their British managers telling Yuji Naka to f-- off to his face. You don't do that, especially not to someone who created a gaming icon.That is so sad
The victims here are the fans, not British managers. This will hurt the franchise.

Eye area is incorrect
Eye pupils and irises are out of proportion
Just about every Sonic fan I know, is having a **** fit about this movie.. its not pretty! The feeling is unaminous though- this movie's going to flop.

Since they put the weirdest actors with these characters as of late the makers should've used Johnny Depp or something completely inconsistent with this one.
It's not directed at fans per se, Hollywood ran out of ideas and they are turning a fun looking adorable creature into a movie so that they can get more viewers through kids.
He's also too furry imo.
Would've preferred a more digital, less hairy version.
