A device that requires this and that and that and a blood sample isn't good enough ever.
Not even for a security device.

WIFI is WIFI if you aren't going to follow the right standards then I won't use your product.
 
Hi, looking to change my light switches...i need to to integrate nicely with home assistant.

I went the sonoff touch way for multi gang switches. The touch switches are not to everybody's liking, but flashed with tasmota they work well with HA. For single lights I threw a Sonoff mini in the box behind the light of light switch, tasmotised as well.

I would also look at zigbee devices if I had to do it again. No reliance on wifi.
