The system seems to be back to normal.

Unfortunately that was unavailable today, the only means I had to control my sonoff's was the ewelink app.The ewelink app is trash, I find if you can add the devices to Amazon Alexa and control them via there they become much more responsive, I'm assuming they give requests sent from Amazon higher priority.
Ewelink does set the bar horribly low though..Alexa is a morning, she is the dumbest of the dumb assistants. Was very happy when I sold her off.

Only if you're using their phone-home firmware.Ah so there was a general issue, I tried a few things.
Not the automation per se, but definitely any dependence on outside networks .If there was ever a sign that I should stop the automation
