Sign up with GoogleI had a look at the Samsung LED TV yesterday, It beats every LCD in the store, Sony, philips, LG, etc. the colour and contrast is simply awesome.
The SONY is Full HD, Has a Bravia 3 Engine, XMB interface looks slick, It is only 40". Sony don't make 42" the advertizing is all wrong, the price looks great, one sales guy said 1 year the other said 3 year warranty, so best get it in writing.

Can't tell you anything about the quality, the fools at HifiCorp had the thing hooked up to a crappy DSTV signal with RF cable!!
But I hear that Bravia engine 3 is great and this set seem to be replacing Sony's previous S series 40" which was good so this has to be better?
Two things worry me though:
1. It's from HifiCorp, enough said
2. The TV was on display with all the cheapies not even on the SONY stand, which tends to tell me it's not brought in by SONY SA.
None the less it's a Sony and the price is very tempting. Damn recession.
Hope this clears up some confusion, the guy that did the advert needs a smack, the editor that rubber stamped it needs 2.
