It seems to take both but of course Sony will try to peddle their memory stick. That Lexar looks quite good for the price.

You can use either Sony memory cards or a normal SDCard with the A37. I have used both in mine.

I'm not sure if it's UHS1 compatible, but I bought a 32GB USH1 Samsung MicroSD from Kalahari for R490 for my NX1. It's rated at 90MB/s read and 80Mb/s write. Good value for money and works well in my NX1.

Thanks for the help; it seems the camera I bought has a problem reading SD cards.

Is it worth getting it repaired or should I get my money back?

I really like the camera :(

Was it new or second hand?

If it's new I would get my money back and get something else. Although the A37 is a good entry level camera, its been discontinued.

I myself love Sony cameras but have switched manufacturers because of local Sony product availability. What's nice about the Alpha cameras off course is the fact that you can use Minolta lenses which are usually very cheap if you can get hold of any.
